PCT Study Tips and ResourcesPatient Care Technician (PCT) Exam
The National Certified Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) exam is an important test for people who want to work in healthcare helping take care of patients. This exam makes sure you know everything you need to help patients safely in places like hospitals, doctor’s offices, and clinics.
What Is the NCPCT Exam Like?
The NCPCT exam has 150 multiple-choice questions that you need to answer in 3 hours. But here’s something important to know – only 125 of those questions will count toward your final score. The other 25 questions are called “pre-test” questions that the test makers use to try out new questions for future exams. You won’t know which questions are the pre-test ones, so you should try your best on all of them.
The Five Main Areas You’ll Be Tested On
Each question gives you four answer choices, just like the practice tests you might have taken in school. This makes it easier because you can eliminate answers that you know are wrong.
